Off the Vine - 8/30/25
Harvest is Done! It was incredible, had a great group of folks out to pick grapes with us over the weekend and the winemaking has begun!
To the right is the Rosè fermenting away in Stainless Steel Tanks. Those happy yeasts are feasting away on sugar from our Marquette grapes.
Should be an amazing 2025 Vintage!
Stay tuned for more 2025 Winemaking updates!
Cheers!

Cork Dork Chronicles
Kansas was once one of the largest producers of wine in the United States...
The tradition of wine making was brought to Kansas by German immigrants. By the 19th century Kansas has developed a thriving wine industry. In 1880, Kansas reported the state had produced 226,000 gallons of wine.
However, the flourishing wine industry faced a significant setback with the advent of Prohibition, which led to the decline of commercial winemaking in Kansas. Vineyards were abandoned, and the tradition faded over time, leaving only traces of its once vibrant presence. In recent decades, there has been a growing interest in reviving the state's winemaking culture, with modern wineries emerging and rediscovering the potential of Kansas's unique terroir.
