2 Acres. 12,000 Pounds. 3,400 Bottles.
Inland Ocean Vineyards was planted in April of 2018. It was planted in 3 phases so that the oldest grape plants are now 6 years old in 2024. After the multi-year planting phase completion, we now have 1400 vines.
The vineyard is on 2 acres, yielded 12,000 lbs. of grapes, which is about 3,400 bottles of wine. With the maturation of the late plantings, we are hoping for 15,000 lbs. of grapes - or about 3,750 bottles.
The construction of our vineyard includes the following:
- Clearing & leveling 3 total acres of dead cedars
- Drilling 1,400 2-foot holes
- 2,000 bags of compost
- 2 miles of electric fence for deer
- 2 lasers & 2 acres of bird netting for birds
- 1.7 miles of rows consisting of 9,000 ft. of dripline
- 1,400 emitters
- 8 miles of high-tension wire
- 80 posts
- 220 springs
- 250 wire tensioners
- 36 sprinkler heads for fire control
- 800 ft. of PVC
- 20 control valves
